She is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular medicine, and internal medicine, demonstrating her expertise and commitment to providing advanced vascular care.

Dr. Atashband earned her medical degree from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. She then completed her internal medicine internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where she further honed her clinical skills and passion for cardiovascular health. Her dedication to the field led her to pursue fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine, where she was recognized for her outstanding performance with the prestigious Interventional Cardiology Fellow of the Year Award.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Atashband has taken on leadership roles within the medical community. She served as Chief of Cardiology at Memorial Hermann Northeast in 2019 and was appointed Chief of Cardiology in 2022, reflecting her dedication to advancing cardiovascular care and mentoring future generations of physicians.
