After graduating with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dr. Wong came to the U.S. for further training in Internal Medicine at the New York Infirmary Beekman Downtown Hospital.
Later, he spent six years at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Here, Dr. Wong completed his residency in internal medicine and cardiology fellowships in both electrophysiology and interventional cardiology. He also served as Clinical Assistant Professor and Instructor of Medicine.
Furthermore, Dr. Wong is board-certified in interventional cardiology, clinical cardiac electrophysiology, cardiovascular medicine, and internal medicine. He also holds several international specialist qualifications, including MRCP (UK), FRCPC (Canada), and HKFAM (HK).
Honoring his outstanding contribution in teaching and training cardiologists, the UT Medical School at Houston recognized Dr. Wong as “Private Faculty of the Year” for three consecutive years (2006-2009).
