Eric B. Trestman, M.D. is a board-certified vascular surgeon who joined Vital Heart & Vein in 2022. Dr. Trestman graduated from Syracuse University in New York with a B.A. in Political Philosophy. He went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine in his hometown of New Orleans at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Trestman was then accepted into an accelerated five-year residency in Vascular Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.

After completing his training, Dr. Trestman was recruited as an attending surgeon at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City, where he developed a robust minimally invasive program, incorporating innovation and research, for Columbia’s Westchester division. He is the principal investigator for multiple industry-sponsored clinical trials and involved in quality improvement and outcomes-based research. His clinical focus involves the treatment of complex aortic aneurysms, carotid disease, limb salvage, and venous disease.

Dr. Trestman has participated in a vast collection of publications and presentations throughout his career. He holds membership with an array of vascular societies such as the Society for Vascular Surgery, International Society for Vascular Surgery, Eastern Vascular Society, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, and the Vascular and Endovascular Surgical Society.
