Dr. Nidal Mazen Ganim is a native Houstonian who was born, raised, and trained in Houston, Texas. He is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered cardiovascular care while helping patients prevent, manage, and reverse heart disease through healthy lifestyle changes and evidence-based medicine.

Dr. Ganim attended Houston Christian High School, where he graduated with high honors and served as captain of both the varsity football and basketball teams. He earned his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from the University of St. Thomas, majoring in Biological Sciences with minors in Philosophy and Theology.

He completed his medical education and postgraduate training entirely within Houston’s renowned Texas Medical Center. Dr. Ganim earned his medical degree from McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and subsequently completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at McGovern Medical School.

As a cardiologist, Dr. Ganim received extensive training across the full spectrum of cardiovascular medicine, including preventive cardiology, advanced heart failure, echocardiography, stress testing, cardiac PET imaging, coronary CT angiography, and the evaluation and management of complex cardiovascular conditions. His training in the Texas Medical Center provided him with the opportunity to learn from nationally recognized leaders and pioneers in cardiovascular medicine.

He believes that prevention is the cornerstone of long-term heart health and is passionate about helping patients reduce their cardiovascular risk through education, lifestyle modification, and personalized treatment plans.

“I believe the best medicine is the one you don’t have to take. Prevention is the best medicine. My passion is helping patients prevent and reverse heart disease through simple, sustainable, daily lifestyle changes built upon three pillars: (1) mind, emotion, and awareness, with conscious awareness serving as the foundation; (2) single-whole ingredient foods; and (3) daily physical activity, while providing the highest quality cardiovascular care when needed.”
