Dr. Ping Wong is a distinguished interventional cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist with expertise in treating complex heart conditions, including coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and structural heart disorders. His dual specialization allows him to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care, combining advanced catheter-based interventions with state-of-the-art arrhythmia management.
Dr. Wong earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from The Chinese University of Hong Kong before moving to the United States for advanced training. He completed his internal medicine residency at New York Infirmary Beekman Downtown Hospital before pursuing further specialization at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Over the next six years, he completed fellowships in both electrophysiology and interventional cardiology while also serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor and Instructor of Medicine.
Dr. Wong holds multiple board certifications in interventional cardiology, clinical cardiac electrophysiology, cardiovascular medicine, and internal medicine. Additionally, he has earned several prestigious international qualifications, including MRCP (UK), FRCPC (Canada), and HKFAM (Hong Kong), reflecting his extensive expertise and global recognition in the field.
Dedicated to medical education, Dr. Wong has played a pivotal role in training future cardiologists. His contributions were recognized by The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, which honored him as “Private Faculty of the Year” for three consecutive years (2006-2009).
