Katy was born and raised in Willis, Texas, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors from Sam Houston State University. She went on to further her education at The University of Texas Health Science Center, where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing and became a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Katy brings more than 7 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Level II Trauma Center emergency department. She then spent 3 years leading a Rapid Response Team while also serving as a House Supervisor, gaining extensive experience in critical care, complex patient management, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Katy has developed a strong focus on vascular health and is the first and only Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner at Vital Heart & Vein. She brings a strong clinical background, a patient centered approach, and a commitment to providing comprehensive care to patients with vascular conditions.
