Charlie Gnaim
M.D., F.A.C.C.
Currently, Dr. Gnaim is the Medical Director of the Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Lab. He specializes in minimally invasive treatment of peripheral arterial disease, and is able to fix blockages located in the legs, arms, and other vessels through a single small hole, enabling patients to avoid having to undergo high-risk open surgical procedures.
Furthermore, Dr. Gnaim was the first physician in Northeast Houston to perform a heart catheterization through the wrist. During this procedure, a doctor goes through a small vessel in the wrist, which entails a more comfortable procedure and recovery for patients. He routinely does heart procedures via this approach.
In addition to being a heart specialist, Dr. Gnaim is a vein specialist and the Director of the Vein Center. With this specialty, he is able to treat patients with vein disease using a minimally invasive approach. This allows patients to go home and resume normal activities within the same day of treatment. Additionally, Medtronic, one of the largest medical device companies in the world, has chosen Dr. Gnaim to serve as a certified proctor. With this role, he helps train other physicians, who are flown in from all over the country, on how these procedures are performed.
