Dr. Hunter Ray is a board-certified vascular surgeon who specializes in the treatment of arterial and venous diseases, including minimally invasive and open surgical interventions. His expertise encompasses endovascular procedures, peripheral artery disease management, aortic aneurysm repair, and complex venous treatments.

A native Houstonian, Dr. Ray earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University before obtaining his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He remained in Houston to complete his vascular surgery training, where he distinguished himself both academically and surgically. His research and technical skills earned him the S. Timothy String Presidential Award for the best paper at the 2016 Southern Association for Vascular Surgery (SAVS) meeting and first place in the 2020 SAVS Top Gun Surgical Skills Competition.

Dr. Ray has contributed extensively to the field of vascular surgery, authoring multiple peer-reviewed publications and book chapters focused on the latest advancements in vascular disease treatment. His commitment to innovation and patient-centered care makes him a leader in his field.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Ray enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and their dog. He embraces Houston’s vibrant culture, particularly its food scene, and enjoys golfing, fishing, and BBQ in his free time.
